YetepRising up from the underground comes the Pryda friends label, bringing back mesmerizing flows from the roots of where trance began. On the very first week of the Trance Repeat Button, I’d like to introduce to you a song that I guarantee you won’t stop, can’t stop.
“I Can’t Stop It” is the newest track from up and coming Norwegian DJ/producer Jonas Fehr aka Fehrplay. Currently number 8 on Beatport’s Progressive House list, the meditative track seamlessly repeats the lyrics, giving listeners that feeling of falling back into their addictive habits, or maybe their inability to stay away from the dance floor.
The groove, the melody, everything about this song makes a listener want to forget their problems and just dance. ‘I can’t stop doing this. I can’t stop doing that. Oh well, I’m just going to jam to this amazingly hypnotic Fehrplay song.’
Officially released last Monday, January 14, this song continues to remind me that I can’t turn this song off. The 24 year old DJ has built an incredible song, incorporating dark and ominous Pryda chords with a melody than seems to be pulling you some kind of intense warp.
Starting off his year to a guest mix on Above & Beyond‘s 11th Group Therapy show, Fehrplay is gearing up for an incredible 2013. His sound, though reminiscent of Prydz, is very much his own, sounding like the audio version of a futuristic kaleidoscope (I’m not kidding.).
After this hit, and a few more he has planned for the first few months of 2013, Fehrplay is built for a successful year and it starts with this groundbreaker.
Turn this track off. I dare you.
