EDC Spotlight: Tropicool

Only one weekend stands between thousands of electronic dance music fans and EDC Las Vegas! Before you start packing your camelbacks and kandi bracelets, add Tropicool to your Saturday schedule.

The name says it all; tropical and cool. The funky-disco sound of David La Melza aka Tropicool will transport you to a 70’s beach party where the coconut water never runs out and the sand always stays out of your eyes. His Soundcloud is a collection of mixes that are perfect for the summer.

If you need to rest your dancing shoes for a bit, make sure you take your break during Tropicool’s set. He will be performing at the Wide Awake Art Car stage on Saturday, June 22. The art car debuted at Burning Man in 2011 giving fans an art and music experience that is intimate and quirky. Apart from being a DJ, Tropicool is the founder of the electronic dance music blog, Gotta Dance Dirty.
