YetepYesterday marked the release of the new iPhone 5, and forthcoming, iPhone 5c and 5s mobile operating system, iOS 7. Typically, software updates are boring and unexciting, but this new operating system is a major change to the iPhone since its inception. The update drastically modifies the interface of the phone and usability of many apps.
Native Instruments, the production company behind Traktor DJ,urged its consumers to refrain from downloading the new iPhone update. The company posted on their Facebook page and website a note stating that their developers encountered “general audio performance issues that can affect some Native Instruments hardware”. Consumers may experience “random disconnections, iOS device restarts, distortion and chopped audio as well the Master Out audio playing on all outputs”. The post also mentioned that updating to iOS 7 cannot be undone.
Native Instruments is currently testing the app on the new operating system and fixing the bugs causing these issues. “Like” Traktor DJ’s Facebook page for updates after they have tested the mobile app on iOS 7.
