RB Weekend Preview: Lets Get Groovy, Juicy, and Dirty

This weekend is quite eclectic and satisfies numerous musical taste buds. We have a legend in Pete Tong; we have YouTube master mixer in Juicy M; and we have an old school rave in Dirty Disco. Are you looking to hit up a nightclub this weekend and become mesmerized by the psychedelic lights? We’ve got that for you. Did you want to work on that tan while lying by the pool and sipping on a margarita? We can do that too. Did you want to rage face and dance all night long in crowds upon crowds of people? I guess we can manage. Check out what we have to offer this weekend!

 Get Groovy With Pete Tong (5/16 9:00pm)

 Pete Tong makes his way to the Monarch Theatre in Downtown Phoenix this Saturday night, May 16, to blow the roof off of the building with a hypnotic set showcasing his skills as BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix mix-master. Not only has Pete been a staple in dance music for as long as anyone can remember, but what’s even more amazing is that he holds more clout in the industry now than ever before. This will be your chance to witness Arizona dance music history as this British legend graces our decks with his fabled artistry. Get Juicy With Juicy M (5/16 11:00am)

 Let’s start by throwing out there that this event is FREE before noon. It’s FREE and it’s going to be awesome. After 12pm men are charged a cover of $10, but ladies… you are free all day long! Juicy M is best known for her YouTube videos showcasing her mix skills by mixing four turntables at once without using headphones. She’s skilled, she’s beautiful, and she has an amazing ear for musical judgment. If you think you have it in you to party all day at the pool and party all night at the Monarch, this will certainly be a weekend to remember.

Get Dirty With Dirty Disco (5/16 7:30pm)

 Dirty Disco has a long history in Arizona starting way back 2010 when founder, Sam Groove, decided to throw a one stage party in the middle of the desert. Over the years it has grown and grown and has now become one of the biggest parties for the underground dance music scene. This event will certainly be different than the two aforementioned events, lending house to a huge stage, a massive sound system, a lot of fire, and a few surprises. The lineup for this years Dirty Disco includes Infected Mushroom, who will be playing a full band live set, Zomboy, Camo and Krooked, AC Slater, Ghastly, and the founder of Dirty Disco himself, Sam Groove. Don’t miss this massive party and remember “one dirty stage x one dirty vibe x one unforgettable night”!
