Lovers of the Underground Sound, Unite! One Tribe Festival Dates & Lineup Announced

Southern California seems to be an awakening hotbed for the underground electronic scene. After this past Spring’s CRSSD Fest featured an underground-heavy lineup, this September will see the inaugural festival, One Tribe, pick up where CRSSD Fest left off. Taking place this September 25th-26th on the majestic shores and sandy beaches of Lake Perris, California, the festival features pioneering DJ’s and live acts from all around the globe. Aiming to celebrate “Real Music for Real People,” One Tribe eschews commercial names in favor of forward thinking live, house and techno acts. And boy, do they mean it. This lineup has me feeling like I just unwrapped a Gameboy Color with Pokemon Red on Christmas morning (thank you, 1998.)

The lineup itself reads like a list of who’s-who in the realm of electronic music: Kygo, Gramatik, Tycho, Damian Lazaurus & The Ancient Moons, and RÜFÜS DU SOL combine to represent the main live acts at One Tribe. They’ll be joined by the masters of the underground sound andhim, KiNK (live), Jamie Jones, Guy Gerber, Guti (live), Carl Craig, Patrick Topping, alongside legendary DJs Mark Farina, DJ Harvey, DJ Dan, Doc Martin, and Marques Wyatt.

If your jaw didn’t drop after reading about the lineup, maybe it will after seeing whose curating the five stages: Beatport, iconic Dutch techno brand Awakenings, Jamie Jones’ Paradise, Crosstown Rebels present Get Lost and B3’s West Coast Legends all will be lending their iconic productions to One Tribe. To kick off the late September weekend, Friday night showcases the rapidly rising California based Desert Hearts crew, bringing out their inimitable mantra of “House Techno Love” to One Tribe’s opening night camping experience.

If the music wasn’t enough, One Tribe promises to blend in an array of wellness, visual arts and culinary programming, all under an overarching them of “Uniting the Tribes.” One Tribe is being produced by ID&T, the folks behind TommorowLand, Mysterland, Sensation and Electric Zoo, as well as the SoCal  production crew B3. So, uhh, yeah. This is going to be one for the books.
