YetepUK electronic trio Above & Beyond have been nominated for a 2015 GRAMMY Award in the category of “Best Dance Recording” for their single written with Zoë Johnston, “We’re All We Need”. Released originally on their 2014 album of the same name via Anjunabeats/Ultra Music, the song has gone on to receive over 15 million Spotify streams and almost 4.5 million views for its video on YouTube. This marks the first-ever GRAMMY nomination for Above & Beyond’s Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamäki.
Clear some space on your iTunes account because an acoustic version of “We’re All We Need” will appear on Above & Beyond’s next album release, Acoustic II. Acoustic II is a follow-up to the chart-topping 2014 album Acoustic and will once again be produced in collaboration with Bob Bradley.
To support Acoustic II’s release in May, Above & Beyond, accompanied by a 15-piece ensemble, will embark on a tour of music’s most iconic venues including Massey Hall on May 14th.
Fans scrambling to purchase tickets to the trio’s Toronto performance demonstrated the latitudes that their feelsy sound stretches, enough that a 2nd show was warranted on the next day. With two sold-out performances under their belt, it’s very easy to say that Canadians love Above & Beyond.
