Electric Forest Fixes Alcohol Policy

After much confusion over the alcohol policy this year Electric Forest organizers have finally set the record straight and apologized for the ambiguity of the policy on their website.

The misunderstanding all started from a post on Reddit, and blew up on social media throughout the past week. The claim stated that no outside alcohol would be permitted in the festival grounds. After selling out in record time this left festival goers outraged that they weren’t notified of a change before tickets went on sale.

Electric Forest HQ has since released an official statement explaining their policy.  The new policy states that campers over the age of 21 will be permitted to bring a reasonable amount of unopened beer or wine into the campsite, but liquor will no longer be permitted. Outside alcohol is only permitted in the campsites and cannot be taken into the festival grounds.
