YetepDisclosure are Guy and Howard Lawrence, siblings and dance music producers from Surrey, England who debuted in 2010, when they uploaded early material to MySpace. The duo really made themselves known in 2012 with the release of “Latch,” featuring Sam Smith, which eventually peaked at number 11 in the U.K. Latch was quickly followed by “White Noise,” a collaboration with AlunaGeorge that reached number two, and more recently the brothers teamed up with Sam Smith again for “Omen.”
Disclosure hasn’t remixed any songs for two years. Three years ago, Flume remixed Disclosure’s “You & Me” and now, Disclosure return the favor by remixing Flume’s “Never Be Like You.” The original song is the first to be released from Flume’s upcoming album Skin, and if the track hasn’t got enough praise already I think Disclosure’s take on it will have people talking.
Disclosure speed up the tempo just a bit and while still focusing on Kai’s vocals they add a techno/deep house vibe to the track. No word yet on whether the boys will turn this remix into an onstage collaboration, however there’s an opportunity coming up in June when Flume will appear on the line-up for Wild Life, a UK festival curated by Disclosure and Rudimental.
