The Kid’s 3 Three Reasons You Have To Attend Phoenix Lights Festival This Weekend

I really really really hope that for most people this is a given. Phoenix Lights is absolutely stacked this year. We have the King himself, Kaskade, playing on Saturday along with the legendary Eric Prydz and then DJ Snake and Excision on Sunday. Of course that’s only 4 of the 30+ artists that are going to be there because the list continues on for some time. Check it out at the end of the article is you want to see the full lineup. Moving along with the article however, this week’s The Kid’s 3 Reasons are why you absolutely have to attend Phoenix Lights Festival!

1. Fun Facts with Math

This is always one of my favorite things to do. I’m a big math nerd, so I always look at the costs of the ticket compared to how many big names there are on the line up. There are 20 artists headlining Phoenix Lights, plus some of our very infamous and amazing local DJs playing as well. If you include them the number jumps to 30+! So we will do this two ways really. Right now tickets for Phoenix Lights are $140. Which really does pretty well among other festivals. Beyond, Ultra,  Nocturnal, and other festivals(Which are all amazing festivals) can cost up to $200-400. But take $140 and divide it by 20 headlining artists and that gets you $7 an artist. How damn good of a deal is that though? In fact at one point it was possible to get Phoenix Lights tickets for $100 if you got the very first tier! That would’ve been $5 an artists instead of $7, which compared to Decadence back on New Years Eve, is $1.50 cheaper per artist. So if you liked Decadence, then definitely check out Phoenix Lights! If you include our wonderful local DJs in that mix, you end up getting $4.10ish an artist at $140 for a ticket, and $2.90ish an artist if you got a ticket at $100. Does it seriously get any better then this? Yes it does, because we’re only on the first reason! 🙂

2.) Kaskade Redux

Kaskade has a very special and dear event he loves to do everyone once and a while. It is his Kaskade Redux set. If you are unfamiliar with it, read up on the details in this article here. Kaskade has only done this set 24 other times. The fact that he is coming out of his usual LA, Vegas, Bay Area and other big cities known for their music scene to come to Arizona is exciting! Is almost crazier than conspiracy theories. However in order to check this set out, you have got to be a ticket holder to Phoenix Lights, but I promise you that you do not want to miss this Kaskade Redux, it will be a completely unique and different experience unlike any other club or festival show you’ve been to.

3.) Unreleased Music

As much of a math nerd I am, I’m a bigger music nerd. As a music nerd my favorite thing at festivals is when an artist drops an unreleased track they’ve been working on. It’s a bit of fresh air and especially when you’re with all your friends and you hear a remix that’s new at a show, you know your whole squad is going hard when it drops! A lot of times the artist ends up releasing it a couple months down the road, a lot of the times they also don’t and you never get to hear it again. As a huge music nerd I absolutely love hearing those tracks that never get released. It’s such a priceless moment really. Striving to listen to music is I think something everybody should do. It just widens your knowledge and overall musicality so taking any opportunity you can find to listen to new music is a good idea, and festivals are a perfect opportunity for that.

So that pretty much wraps up this article! If you haven’t already here is the line up below. If you still need to get tickets you can do so on the main Relentless Beats page or if you can’t find it click here. I hope to see you guys there! If you do, please say hello I love meeting and talking with new people!
