Relentless Beats

Kill The Noise Unleashes Fire With 15-Track Remix Package

Jake Stanczak, the man behind Kill The Noise, has been known to make some of the filthiest beats around lately. He’s a member of the OWSLA family, Skrillex’s label, which has also been known to produce some raw sounds. Last year Kill The Noise released his album Occult Classic on OWSLA and it was a HUGE success. With songs like “Dolphin on Wheels” which provide a more humorous take on a track, to “FUK UR MGMT” which brought heavy bass and a four on the floor, everything about the Occult Classic was insane fire.

Now Kill The Noise has taken that album and let several of his favorite people remix the songs. He’s put together 15 tracks from his homies such as Snails, Herobust, Twine, and more. The varied pool of talented remixers also creates some interesting crossovers as in album closer “All In My Head” which sets up unlikely collaborations between AWOLNATION and Gammer and doubles down on the ’90s rave aesthetics of the original. Several remixes which appeared in the album’s preview mix are noticeably absent from the release. In a tweet, the producer promised efforts from Slander and NGHTMRE were still on their way.

Dolphin On Wheels (Rickyxsan Remix)

Rickyxsan takes the rather humorous Dolphin on Wheels and decides to add some filthy bass and a trap beat to give this dolphin a little gangster make over. Definitely a little heavier than the original, but us bass heads wont have much to complain on this one.

Fuk Ur Mgmt (Wuki Remix)

Starting out sampling the vocals that this song is known for, Wuki really doesn’t care how messy and raw his sound got in this one. With heavy banging percussive elements to provide intense energy and a bassline that thumps through everything else, this song is sure to get your whole house shaking. Seriously though my subwoofer is shaking the hairs on my legs right now.

Lose Ya Love (BUSTED By Herobust)

Herobust is that new up and coming, if he hasn’t made it already. While he hasn’t been around for long nearly every remix I’ve seen this kid through out surpasses my expectations. With a longer build up than most to gain your anticipation, a little bit of silence before the drop for the hang time, and a metric fuck ton of bass when it finally smalls, this song is not going to disappoint. Also you gotta love those synths leads over the drop just ripping up the scale, it’s memorizing at the least.

Without A Trace Feat. Stalking Gia (Kill The Noise & Virtual Riot Remix)

Without A Trace is one of the songs off the album that has a slower start. The original starts with piano and vocals, and this remix takes a similar stab as we have some synths plucking away to create an out-of-this-world feeling. The kick comes up, the build up grows, and then the drop slaps you in your face with the heavy metallic dubstep and bass combo.

I Do Coke (Snort and Leisure Remix)

The beginning of this one reminds me of Daft Punk for some reason. Don’t know if y’all feel the same way, but moving on; this remix provides more of a electro house feel. With a thumping four on the floor and bass lines that could punch a hole through your chest, you’re sure to be shuffling all over the place with this tune!

Louder (feat. R.City) (Twine Remix)

Twine says louder? Sure, I can turn up the bass! With a trap beat and vocals samples from the original, you’re sure to be getting down and dirty to this song.

All In My Head (feat. AWOLNATION) (Darren Styles & Gammer Remix)

Starting out with a soft piano alternating back and forth between two notes and a slow build up at the beginning of the song, you’ll think that this track might be a little bit lighter, but with 150+ bpm how could go lighter? Darren Styles and Gammer quickly pick this energy up in this song when a confident synth lead soaring over the top of builds ups until we reach the hard dance drop where you’ll have to get up and move. You can’t sit down to stuff below 150 bpm really.

Spitfire Riddim (feat. twoton) (Boombox Cartel Remix)

With a vintage lead at the beginning that opens up to fat synth chords soon after, you’ll feel like you’re floating through space as vocals drop in with a delay that echoes for a bit. Yet, as soon as the intro is over and the build up starts, you’ll find yourself wanting to bang your head as a drum kit with double bass pedal comes in and screamo vocals bring you back to the scene/emo kid days. (Ah, how nostalgic) The drop is almost resemblant of something Major Lazor would produce, giving a latin swing feel. But don’t worry Boombox doesn’t slow down at all with the filth.

I Do Coke (Ephwurd Remix)

Ephwurd has been making some of the bassiest, bass music since the two producers have decided to create the project. This song is just another great hit using the classic bass house sounds that everybody can get down to. No disappointment what-so-ever.

Dolphin On Wheels (Moksi Remix)

The second Dolphin on Wheels brings out the four on the floor in more typical house music fashion. With a light intro and a sub-bass thumping in seconds after, the circus like lead building up to the drop will have your head spinning while your feet are shuffling.

Without A Trace (feat. Stalking Gia) (Loudpvck Remix)

Loudpvck is another one of my favorites. They ALWAYS bring some filth, and some humor. This track fails to disappoint as well with a four on the floor that will have you up on your feet getting down the almost future house lead they use at the beginning. However, when the drop comes up the lead is switched to a more bass house lead with a descending pitch fade through the lead.

Kill It 4 The Kids (feat. AWOLNATION & R.City) (Nom De Strip Remix)

Another bass house rendition that straight from the get go provides that a funky beat. The syncopated rhythms through the whole song leave you unexpected as what is going to happen next, and therefore grabs your full attention.

Mine (Getter Remix)

Getter gets down with this remix, with a syncopated bass kick the thumps through your chest and eerie vocals over the top. It’s nothing short we would expect from the hilarious vine star.

All In My Head (feat. AWOLNATION) (Team EZY Remix)

With synth leads that pluck along at the beginning and bell like tones, All In My Head quickly builds energy as this future bass rendition unfolds. Synth chords, lots a bass, and plucky leads will surely memorize you as you fade away to Team EZY’s remix of this great track.
