Festival Focus: Firefly Music Festival

Recently, Firefly Music Festival took place in the Woodlands of Dover, Delaware. This festival is yet another demonstration of a wide variety of musical talent. It may actually be in the top five most demographic music events. Kings of Leon, Ellie Goulding, Fetty Wap, Blink 182, Major Lazer, and Two Door Cinema Club all took part in the Firefly experience this year.

Interestingly enough, before directing Firefly, Greg Bostrom was in charge of the Warrior Dash and the Great Open Race. With a team composed of a group where no one has experience hosting a music festival, they banded together and now showcases one of the most inordinate lineups in the U.S.

Firefly had an interesting start. Its first year was in 2012. When the crew came up with the idea of the festival, they successfully booked The Killers, The Black Keys, and Jack White has headliners. This was huge for it being their first year throwing a music festival.

Firefly is a camping event, so attendees make the Woodlands their home for four days and four nights. There are also food trucks and bars throughout, so your tummy will remain happy. There is an arcade bar loaded with all sorts of games old and new.

Believe it or not, pre-sales have already sold out for 2017. If you are interested in becoming a part of the Firefly experience, keep an eye out for the next tier of tickets.
