YetepSnails is a Montreal based dj/producer who creates a unique breed of bass music with his signature snaily sounds. He combines hip hop rythyms, dubstep, and hard hitting bass lines, but he’s one of those artists who’s sound is hard to match. He got his start in 2012 with Canadian label Kannibalen Records, and since then has gained a die hard fanbase of snail-heads and bass-lovers from all over who you might hear using the slangs “Get Snailed!” or “Snailed It!” Snails has most recently worked with Botnek and Protohype to name a few, and today released an awesome collab with two guys who call themselves Pegboard Nerds.
The Pegboard Nerds, brainchild of producers Michael Parsberg and Alex Odden, started working together in 2004 and came out of nowhere last year with an infectious energy and begun working with some huge artists like Jauz, NGHTMRE, Krewella, Excision and now Snails. Since joining forces in 2004, Parsberg and Odden have accumulated hundreds of millions of plays online and developed a loyal following among their fanbase dubbed #NerdNation.
The masterpiece done by Snails and Pegboard Nerds is titled “Deep In The Night” and displays the perfect balance from both artists. With high energy from PN and of course some ‘Vomitstep’ from Snails, This collab came just in time to destroy the stage at upcoming festivals. Catch Snails at BOO! on October 15th for your chance to hear “Deep In The Night” live!
