YetepAssociated with Dim Mak Records, Felix Cartal is an electro-house dj/producer known for his energetic, electro/heavy-house sound, and sentimental love songs. Cartal fuses his punk roots with his love for club culture and often recruits vocals from bands such as Death from Above 1979 and the Blood Brothers. Steve Aoki signed Cartal to Dim Mak in 2009 when he released his debut EP, Skeleton, in May of that year. Later that same year he was featured on the label sampler Dim Mak Dance Compilation, Vol. 1: Evolution, and Felix has continued to blossom ever since.
With influences ranging from the heavy hitting distortion of The Bloody Beetroots and Boys Noize, to techno influences of Vitalic, Felix has created a blend of electronic genres resulting in a unique brand of his own. This versatility has led Cartal to become one of the leaders of heavy-house, a genre known for its relentless intensity, bass and distortion of melodies.
If you’re a fan of Cartal, you’re probably aware of his upcoming ‘Into The Unknown’ tour. Today, Cartal shared on his twitter that he has leaked some of his unreleased music on his Snapchat that he will be playing on tour.

As Snapchat has blown up over the years it has become a great way for fans to connect with their favorite artists on a more intimate level. Many dj’s have begun sharing clips of what they’re working on in the studio allowing viewers to take a closer look at what they’re up to. Not to mention many artists also Snapchat what they’re doing on the daily, share their senses of humor, and are able to connect with their fans through the app on a deeper level in general.
Felix Cartal will be making a stop in Phoenix at the Gypsy Bar on November 11th. So add him on Snapchat to get a taste of what he will be bringing on tour!
