Deadmau5 Assures Fans It’ll Be “Okay” With New Hip-Hop Track

The well known electronic music legend and beloved internet troll, Deadmau5, has just dropped a new track that is far from what we would normally expect from the internationally acclaimed producer. His style, usually on the “house” end of the spectrum, has gone “hip-hop” in his new track “Okay” featuring the vocal stylings of Shotty Horroh. Although different than what his fans are probably used to, the upbeat and cheery track gets a thumbs up in our opinion. DM5 shows off his skills in a whole new way with this release and certainly does not disappoint. Have a listen below.

deadmau5 vs Shotty Horroh – Okay

The cheeky track seems to represent Deadmau5 in his current frame of mind which is about remaining as elusive as possible within his career. Fans may be used to the solid house beats the Mau5 has produced in the past, but our beloved Joel Zimmerman is bent on being as independent as possible from the mainstream crowd electronic music now caters too. Thus, “Okay” exhibits the production quality that we can expect from Zimmerman going forward. As for us, we love the track. It’s simple, bright, and airy… Just what we need in time for the hectic holidays!
