Big Wild can truly do no wrong, releasing award worthy tracks time and time again and gaining support by the unbeatable Odesza and signing with Foreign Family Collective. The Cali-based producer’s new EP Invincible is just another incredible success to add to the list, already smashing it on the charts.
The EP spreads an infectiously captivating sound to every track, and from the first second to the last, my head didn’t stop bobbing in sync with the music. Each track holds a different emotion that is contagious throughout the EP, and leaves us wanting much more. Big Wild’s instrument-powered style is enough to turn a stressful day into a hopeful one.
Starting with “When I Get There,” Big Wild begins with a horn-filled energized track to hook us in instantly. With a deep bassline, chopped vocals and electric guitar synths, the emotion is already flowing not even a minute into the EP.
Next come “Empty Room,” which has a jazzy funk vibe with female vocals by Yuna and ‘I Just Wanna,’ a spacey dance anthem, followed by the earlier released hit ‘Invincible’ that is an orchestral masterpiece. Finally, he leaves us with ‘Crickets’ which has a love filled melody that is irresistibly feel-sy.
You can feel Big Wild’s passion with every note, and if his upcoming releases are even slightly as good as this EP, he will find himself massive amounts of praise. If you haven’t listened yet, what are you waiting for?
