YetepMaking waves in the industry just a few months back, Zedd and Alessia Cara‘s ‘Stay’ was an instant hit with its combination of sweeping synths, a slight pop sound and of course, Alessia’s angelic voice.
“Stay” continues to climb the charts as it officially enters the top 10 on the US Top 40 at radio, landing at #9. The single also moved up three spots to #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. Digitally, the song has garnered over 280 million streams including over 157 million on Spotify where the single is #4 on Spotify’s Today’s Top Hits and #10 on the Global Top 200 chart.
Now, as if the track weren’t enough, it has a dramatic music video to accompany it. The Tim Mattia-directed video runs through two scenarios of Zedd and Cara staying in the same hotel. In both, Zedd is running after an elevator that is nearly closed with Cara in it. In the first, he doesn’t make it and they each go about their days alone. The video then plays in reverse to show the second, where he makes it just in time and sparks fly between the two as they hit a diner and drive around Los Angeles in a convertible.
Check out the ‘Stay’ music video now, and stay tuned for more new tunes from Zedd.
