YetepIn addition to an extensive fall tour schedule, super groovy DJ and producer GRiZ just released Good Will Continue, the follow-up remix album to his 2016 Good Will Prevail. The remix album features a diverse group of artists including Ephwurd, Dirty Audio, Opiuo, and Tommy Trash, each with their own unique interpretations of the original records. One of our favorite remixes from the album, released just last week, came from California’s own Barclay Crenshaw.
“Gotta Push On” is a fan favorite from Good Will Prevail and Barclay’s remix ft. Brasstracks & Eric Krasno does it justice. His rendition of the tune relies on seductive, simple melody riffs, loose fitting and heavily swung drum breaks, and slamming 808s. Barclay brings an otherworldly flair to the track, something we would expect from his Transmission mixtapes. He chooses to leave the vocal sample as is and keep the production simple in the best way. Check out the rest of the remixes below:
We’ll be vibing to this new tune all the way to Goldrush, when Barclay Crenshaw performs alongside Lil Uzi Vert, RL Grime, Shiba San and so many more. Get more info and tickets here.
