YetepFile this one under dope. The trio of Stepa J Groggs, Parker Corey, and Ritchie with a T, better known as Arizona natives Injury Reserve, follow up their late 2016 release Floss with a new EP called Drive It Like It’s Stolen. With the total play time under 25 minutes, DILIS is a quick quench for thirsty Injury Reserve fans who have seen the group rise to fame since they dropped Live From the Dentist Office, an album aptly named as it was recorded after hours in a dentist office. For DILIS, Injury Reserve isolated themselves in Altadena, California to record the EP. The 7-track EP was preceded by videos for the tracks “North Pole,” “See You Sweat,” and “Boom (X3),” which was dropped the night before DILIS was released.
Like the trio’s previous work, DILIS is receiving rave reviews. Pigeons and Planes called the EP the group’s best work to date. Whether you’ve been a fan or you still aren’t up to date on the jazz-spazz-just plain badass-rap group, then go check them out. Injury Reserve is going on tour with the Underachievers before returning to Arizona to play Gold Rush Festival on Sunday, November 19. Get more info and tickets here.
