YetepAdam Jouneau, better known as Habstrakt, began as a dubstep artist back in his hometown of France. Habstrakt was originally signed to Never Say Die record label but since then he has moved into more bass house grooves. Back in his Never Say Die days he put out some grimier beats that have a very 2012 Skrillex type of vibe, so it was no surprise when they put out the collab below.
You probably know Habby from his recent release with Skrillex off OWSLA, “Chicken Soup.” This was the release that really gave him the recognition he so badly deserved. The track has been out 6 months and has already hit 2.3 million plays on Soundcloud, not to mention had countless remixes already procured. Now that Habstrakt is more well-known among the EDM community, he has been getting attention from plenty of other labels and huge artists such as Diplo, Zomboy, Eptic, DJ Snake, and many more.
Being a Frenchman, it’s been a bit of a rarity to see Habstrakt on tour. Thankfully, with this new-found fame from “Chicken Soup,” we’ll be seeing much more of him. Habby will be playing on the MainStage at Goldrush in just 2 days, don’t miss out and buy your last minute tickets here!
