YetepAt 17 years old, most adolescents are daydreaming of college, prepping for their senior prom and nowhere near making big career moves. For young Dutch producer, Martin Garrix, this was not the case. While his peers were sneaking water bottles of vodka onto party busses, Garrix was creating one of the most iconic songs of this generation and setting worldwide records of success. This Spin it Back Saturday we celebrate one of the greats, and the song that got him where he is today.
When “Animals” was released in the summer of 2013, it hit number one on Beatport’s 100 chart, making him the youngest producer ever to stunt this accomplishment. Nearly 5 years later and we still go nuts when DJ’s play this track in clubs, festivals, and anywhere else you can hit the aux. Today and every day we celebrate Garrix and his track, “Animals”.
