British DJ and producer Tom Staar, famous for his releases on powerhouse labels like Spinnin’, SIZE, and Axtone Records, is back again with his first release of 2018. Clocking in at nearly seven and a half minutes in duration, Tom Staar’s “Come Together,” featuring dazzling vocals from Matt Hope, exemplifies everything that progressive house stands for.
Released on Axwell’s Axtone Records as the 100th label release, the entire record places emphasis on groove, emotion, and progression. These kinds of songs are so much fun to listen to because it’s all about the evolution and development of the melodies, chords, and tension. After patiently waiting for the first drop to strike at the three-minute marker, the release of tension is indescribable. It’s the kind of track that you can listen to on some cheap, ten-dollar earbuds, yet still feel as if you are standing in the middle of a festival.
Tom Staar feat. Matt Hope – Come Together (Extended Mix)
As if the euphoria delivered in the first drop wasn’t enough, Staar takes it one step higher by teaming up with vocalist Matt Hope. Featuring lyrics that incite unity, hope, and positivity, this record cements itself as what is sure to be one of the best feel-good tracks of the year. To solidify the song’s message, the cover artwork is unlike any other release on the label as it features photos of fans of the Axtone record label.
