YetepFelix Cartal recently released his 2018 single called “Runaway” on Physical Presents / Enhanced Music, and it’s hard to not get enough of REGN‘s addictive vocals and progressive house percussion. Highlighting the horror and hide-and-seek aspect of being a “Runaway,” REGN takes a playful approach to Felix’s club-ready sugar-laced production style. Similar to his last single, “Runaway” incorporates a pop vocal melody above an increasingly progressive house production style. While the lyrics border between manic and depressed upon deeper listening, “Runaway” has the form to be the next big radio hit with a little tweaking, but should be an instant mainstream club hit.
The moody piano melodies and REGN’s passionate vocals show the need for no drop as the weighty sounds and lyrics take care of the job all by itself. If The Chainsmokers needed any sign of life from the electronic community to get back into their good graces, they should be taking tabs from Felix Cartal and REGN’s “Runaway” single. Grab the new track here.
