YetepAs part of a string of new releases ahead of his unreleased album, king of moombahton Dillon Francis just dropped another new track for us to satiate our appetites with while we wait for the full project. The LA native has always been a carefree individual who creates music that he enjoys, not just to top the charts or land on the radio, and this is obvious with his recent stylistic changes. Dillon recently mentioned on Instagram that the majority of this album would be moombahton-heavy, with a few exceptions. Several of his recent releases have included Latin influences that produce a moombahton vibe and adds much-appreciated flavor to electronic music in general. “BaBaBa (Vete Pa Ya)” is an especially spicy track.
Every time I hear this song it makes me want to belly dance There’s something about the fluidity of all the sounds Dillon has married together alongside Young Ash‘ flair that creates a smooth rhythm that’s perfect to dance to. The BPM of moombahton brings about the type of dancing that fits this specific rhythm–ahem, twerking. The lyrics “Clap yo hands motherf-” cut off and move into a drop that has a bouncy, bubbly sound with some breaking glass sprinkled throughout. With this new track, Dillon has really proved he’s the moombahton master. Now, we wait for the full album.
