What Would Diplo Do? Find Out on July 7th!

Whether you love him or hate him, everybody seems to be fascinated by superstar producer Diplo. Between his extravagant travels, hype performances, and strong social presence, we can’t stop watching. It’s only fitting that Diplo would have a show based on his life titled What Would Diplo Do?

James Van Der Beek, who portrays Diplo in the show, takes us through a day in the life of the nonsensical producer. Playing into the image that he’s created, Diplo embraces his hated social media persona, from tweeting about Taylor Swift “needing to start a Kickstarter to get a booty” to beefing with Calvin Harris over twitter, the show does not shy away from the things people love about Diplo.. and the things they hate.

Although the show’s focus is on Diplo, it does give a satirical spin on EDM as a whole. Demonstrating the outlandish lifestyles DJs lead, What Would Diplo Do? is speaking to how ridiculous EDM culture can be. What Would Diplo Do? Season 1 is now streaming on Hulu. Watch it here.
