YetepAfter gaining recognition from artists like Skrillex, Excision, Skism, Must Die!, Cookie Monsta and Seven Lions, Mischa Reining, better known by his mouth-watering stage name Spag Heddy, needs no introduction. The wonky bass producer has been perfecting his recipe for delicious bass since 2011, and at this point, he’s one of the most popular producers on the dubstep menu. Fresh out of the kitchen is his latest single, “Get To U.”
The highly autotuned and funky vocals at the beginning of this track taste spicy and authentic, but the drop and harder dubstep are where this song shines. It’s a bouncy, almost goofy beat; one that I can see me and my fam headbanging and getting down to. I love Spag Heddy, and this is definitely my favorite track he’s put out. “Get To U” slaps hard when I’m blasting it in my car, but I can’t even imagine what it will sound like live with the speakers blaring it out at me. Luckily I won’t have to use my imagination – Spag Heddy is joining Boombox Cartel, YehMe2, and Cray at Trapfest at the Van Buren on July 28
