YetepFor this week’s Relentless Beat of the Week, we are looking at a fashionable banger from Pell and Brasstracks, “Vibrant.” Brasstracks signature brass instruments, memorizing basslines, and trap-influenced drums are the foundation for this track. Pell throws down harmonizing vocals that really tie “Vibrant” together. The collaboration is a funky fusion of hip-hop, jazz and electronic.
This is the second time this year we’ve seen Pell collaborate with artists in the electronic industry. The New Orleans’s based rapper teamed up with NGHTMRE back in June to create the two-track EP Magic Hour. Brasstracks are no beginners in the world of hip-hop either, in the past they’ve created jazzed-up beats for artists like The Underachievers and FATHERDUDE. The Manhattan-based duo has had a huge year, they dropped an intimate EP, For Those Who Know Pt. 2 and have been touring and playing shows all over the country.
