YetepCalvin Harris and Rag’n’Bone Man’s single “Giant” has been successful since its release earlier this month. The track hit No. 11 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic songs, and already reached 13.6 million U.S. streams and 4,000 downloads sold. The pair just released the music video for the single, adding to the momentum. Hit play below for this week’s Watch it Wednesday.
Calvin Harris & Rag’n’Bone Man – Giant (Official Music Video)
“Giant” is a soulful track, featuring inspiring lyrics like “I’m strong enough for both of us / I am a giant / We’ll be breaking boulders underneath our feet.” The music video continues to build on that theme, as it follows a young man standing strong for his mother, who struggles with what looks to be a serious illness. He finds solace and strength during adventures within his imagination, in which he runs and dances through the forest, encountering others along the way, including Rag’n’Bone crying into the rainy sky and Calvin Harris as an outdoorsman, catching and cooking his own fish.
The video was directed by a long-time collaborator, Emil Nava, who has worked on countless Calvin Harris videos, including the recent “One Kiss” and Promises.” Nava has also worked with the likes of Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Alesso, Ellie Goulding, and many many more.
