Virtual Self Debuts New Single ‘God Rays’

With two sold-out shows in Los Angeles, a new project that’s in the works, and a Grammy Nomination, Porter Robinson has had a busy weekend. On February 8, Porter Robinson as his alias Virtual Self, performed a new single called “God Rays” at Exchange LA. Earlier in the month, Porter Robinson announced that he wants to focus more energy on Virtual Self tracks and the result is going to be pretty incredible.

The only word I could find to describe “God Rays” is beautiful. Videos online of the performance show beams of light, cascading from the ceiling of the venue, as if the entire place was a church. The song itself has a similar, powerful energy that we hear in songs like “Angel Voices” and “Particle Arts”. There’s no doubt whether this song will be a hit or not and fans are begging Robinson to release the single now.
