YetepA constantly evolving artist, the Amsterdam based OIJ has just released his latest piece of work. He started 2019 with the haunting “Seconds Away From Love” and moves further into the year with another solo sound, “By Myself.”
Laid back but with some rap-influenced vibes coming through on the vocals, this track gently fizzes with rhythmical focus. He brings into the mix some scattered 808s and easy sweeping chords for good measure.
On the track’s theme, OIJ says: “By Myself’ is a song about the occasional desire to be alone and relaxing by yourself, not having to be surrounded by people or being pressured into group activities. It’s perfectly fine to just sit back, disconnect and chill. No peer pressure or FOMO fuelled by social media.”
