YetepWhat happens when you mix hip-hop and jazz with “future funk” (a blend of live sax, energetic funk, and electro-soul)? You get a collaboration of epic proportions. I’m talking of course about GRiZ and Big Gigantic, two of the most eclectic producers around and frequent collaborators on tracks like “C’mon” and “Good Times Roll.”
For this week’s Spin it Back Saturday, let’s check out one of their first projects together. Check out GRiZ and Big Gigantic’s “Power” below.
Released in 2012, “Power” has got that OG dubstep sound, a style adopted by many producers around this time. It’s a classic though, and it never fails to get you pumped when it starts bumping in your car.
You can catch both GRiZ and Big Gigantic at this year’s Phoenix Lights, taking place April 5th and 6th at The Park at Wild Horse Pass. Click here to purchase tickets, see the full lineup, and get all the info you need.
