Calyx & Teebee Present First Track from ‘Plates’ Series

The latest record from Calyx & Teebee is a special one. The drum and bass production and DJ act has just announced the start of their new concept, Plates. A series of dub-plate-inspired tunes will land one after the other, with a final collection of the same name at the culmination.

They get the series off to a banging start with “War Dub,” which is already creating waves. A soaring horn sample is contrasted by tightly knit beats and a raw melody, drawn together by ragga vocals.

Calyx & Teebee explain this project, saying: “Having released 2 albums since we joined RAM Records, we’re excited to be starting our next chapter with them by launching a new series called ‘Plates.’ It takes us back to our DnB roots – both musically, and in terms of how the music disseminates to our peers, fans, and ravers.”
