YetepBorn in the Carol City neighborhood of Miami, Florida, Denzel Curry made his musical debut back in 2011 as a gifted 24-year-old. He’s since put out projects like Nostalgic 64, Imperial, and Ta13oo, demonstrating lyrical growth and storytelling prowess. Curry just released his latest full-length album, a Miami-themed, freestyle project, Zuu. Hit play and see what you think below.
Curry’s fourth studio album, Zuu clocks in at 12 songs, delivering 30 minutes of sharp metaphors and booty-shaking bass. He said about the album, “I freestyled the whole thing. Went from mind to mic. The pen and the pad is the middleman if you already know what you’re going to say.”
Although Curry is now living in Los Angeles, it’s clear he plans to put a little bit of Miami into everything he does. Be sure to see him alongside Shoreline Mafia, City Morgue, Nightlovell, Germ, Trash Talk as they support $uicideboy$ on their Grey Day Tour. Grab your tickets here.
