YetepNew Jersey-based electropop trio A R I Z O N A made an appearance on Avicii‘s posthumous album, TIM, released earlier this year with their song, “Hold The Line.” The group (comprised of Zachary Charles, Nate Esquite, and David Labuguen) had begun working on a demo of the track a year ago, and after Avicii’s tragic death last April, they took on the mission of completing the project themselves, while doing their best to keep his creative mission intact.
“When we heard that he was very close to that song, and in light of the recent events, we were incredibly taken back,” says Charles. “Of course we then agreed to take on the challenge of finishing what he had started.”
The album was released in June, and A R I Z O N A just released an acoustic version of “Hold The Line.” Check it out below.
The song speaks on important and relevant issues like mental health, with lyrics like “We just have to push on / We don’t get to give up this life / All the breath in your lungs / Is stronger than the tears in your eyes.” The acoustic version strips it down to even more of a personal level.
A R I Z O N A will be performing at Dusk 2019 in Tucson on November 9th and 10th. Click here to see the full lineup and purchase tickets.
