DJ to Watch: Sam Lamar

Today’s DJ To Watch comes in the form of an ear-splitting producer and master mixer who dabbles in all things dubstep. Since 2015, Sam Lamar has been sharing his take on the well-honored genre on SoundCloud and in turn, has garnered hundreds of thousands of plays and 1ok head-banging fans.

To put his art in words is to compare him to a few greats like Skrillex, Illenium ( when he goes hard), and Zomboy. His presence can be described as “straight venom” and as his fans put it, he has a knack for “mutating the sound of the original to give the overall song a grittier texture.” Listen to his remix of Illenium’s “Pray” to see what he means.
