YetepPatrick Megeath, better known as Dirt Monkey, spits out tracks as filthy as his name suggests. The grimy wobbles signature of his sound has gained the support of artists like Rusko, Excision, Zeds Dead, Griz, Virtual Riot, and more. He’s toured with Subtronics and with Bear Grillz & Ganja White Night on nearly sold-out tours and has collaborated with the latter as well as a range of artists like Jantsen, DMVU, and Illenium. Everything Dirt Monkey puts out is straight filth, including his latest with G-Space and Tsimba, titled “Particle Collider.” Listen below.
“Particle Collider” is a wonky masterpiece. G-Space on the keys adds a piano build that’s forlorn and ominous, and a higher-pitched wobbly sound contrasts with deeper distorted versions of the same sound. Dirt Monkey’s tracks are always very textured, and the lent talent of G-Space and Tsimba makes this track more meticulously crafted and dimensional than expected. Dirt Monkey will be bringing all this and more to AURA on November 16th. Find your tickets here.
