YetepManchester-based producer Duskus has continued to build on his growing reputation and loved sound with the release of his new 5-track EP In Retrospect via Foreign Family Collective.
The project embodies his wide-spanning influences to create music that is deeply emotional and melodic while still driving and danceable. The rare style allows Duskus to move listeners emotionally and on the dance floor, often within the same song. Fusing his UK roots with American electronic influences has made Duskus a global sensation.
From opener “Be there for you” to the EP’s previously released single “I can change your mind,” In Retrospect is drenched in atmosphere and emotion; you are able to absorb the extent of Duskus’ signature within these five tracks.
Giving insight into the EP, Duskus says, In Retrospect is a journey to find myself as an artist and as a person. It is discovering how fragile and delicate this world is, comparing how people choose to live, and the different pathways that they take. I believe that life doesn’t have a guideline, and there’s no right or wrong way to live, each decision we have made in the past, has shaped our power and knowledge now. In Retrospect showcases my existential mind drifting in and out of different life stages, to create a journey of wonder and mystery.”
