YetepStraight out of Boise Idaho, Kai Wachi did not come to mess around. 2012 being his debut year, 2016 was when he really excelled, being catapulted him into the arms of success and he hasn’t slowed down since. In his projects, Kai displays an obvious perfected science to the craft of mixing and producing especially when it comes to crossing genres.
His newest release, “DAEVA” subserves as a sublime example of trap and dubstep co-existing in harmony.
His $kull Team EP was a popular listener favorite that also gained recognition from general-genre family members Excision and Bassnectar. Shortly after that, he supported Black Tiger Sex Machine on their Music Is Our Religion tour in early 2017.
Since then, Kai has performed at huge festivals such as ESCAPE Psycho Circus, Electric Forest, and more. He recently kicked off his first headline tour, DEMIGOD, in September of this year and with more dates to be announced that will continue after December- he is starting off strong and impressionable once again with an extensive debut tour.
Kai Wachi is just getting started and he definitely is not someone you want to take your eyes off of at all in the near (or far) future. This is definitely just a warm-up for what he is truly capable of and it’s going to be satisfying to see what else he can bring to the table.
