YetepIt goes without saying that funky music is just good for the soul; it makes you want to get up and groove. It also goes without saying that two of the funkiest in the game are electro-soul, glitch-hop, heavy bass-driven producers Marvel Years and Manic Focus. These two have been in the game for quite a while now and show no signs of slowing down. With a successful collab already in the books, Marvel Years and Manic Focus are back once again with a tune that will get you moving. You can stream their latest “Doink” below.
Marvel Years, born Cory Wythe, and Manic Focus, born John McCarten, complement each other’s sound fantastically in “Doink.” Wythe brings a bit more of the soulful rock side to the table, whereas McCarten brings the glitchy bass sound. The track is full of electrifying energy, build-ups of anticipation, and vocal chops. We have a feeling that “Doink” will be huge this festival season, especially considering these two both perform and include live instruments along with their decks! Shout out to Marvel Years and Manic Focus for the dope collab and we hope to hear more in the future.
