YetepK.Flay is a songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist whose music encompasses everything from hip-hop and indie to electronic. Born Kristine Meredith Flaherty, the artist discovered her passion and talent while studying at Stanford in California. It wasn’t long before she dropped her first mixtape, Suburban Rap Queen, in 2004.
Several years later, K.Flay has released several full-length albums, toured both the U.S. and Europe extensively, signed with a major record label run by Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds, and even received a Grammy nomination for her single, “Blood in the Cut.”
For this week’s Spin it Back Saturday, check out K.Flay’s “Can’t Sleep” below.
Off her 2014 debut album, Life As A Dog, “Can’t Sleep” brought K.Flay to the forefront of everyone’s attention with her skills as an artist and female badassery.
K.Flay will be supporting Louis the Child on their Here For Now Tour alongside Big Wild and ilo ilo. They head to Chandler on April 17th. Grab tickets here.
