YetepIllenium‘s fourth studio album, Fallen Embers, is officially here. Showcased in the Fallen Embers Trailer, the Trilogy, represented by his previous albums Ashes, Awake, and Ascend, tell the story of the lifespan of a Phoenix, whereas Fallen Embers, post-trilogy, follows the journey of a Phoenix ascending from its fallen ashes. Illenium’s intention with Fallen Embers is to show us the growth of the Phoenix, and inspire us to take our own fallen embers and to learn and heal from it. This album speaks on serious subject matters to aspire others to grow from their ashes and to take action to find their own serenity within.
Listen to Fallen Embers below.
Fallen Embers opens strong with the first track, “Blame Myself” featuring Tori Kelly. Her empowering lyrics hit hard, enraged with hurt and emotion. Familiar artists such as Slander, Excision, and Said the Sky, have also put forth their talents to collaborate on songs “Lay It Down,” “In My Mind,” and “Crazy Times.” A stand out track, “Brave Soul” featuring Emma Grace, is a song in remembrance of those who’ve lost a loved one to drugs. Overall, the healing theme is evident throughout these and other unreleased tracks, “Fragments,” “U & Me,” and “Losing Patience.” Illenials around the globe are joining together to celebrate the release of Fallen Embers. With it his Phoenix legacy trails on, enlightening us with hope and reassurance.
Catch Illenium this September alongside Above & beyond, Zeds Dead, NGHTMRE, and so many more at Goldrush 2021. See the entire first phase of artists and grab tickets here.
