BIJOU Presents ‘Street Knowledge Remixed’ EP

BIJOU, one of Arizona’s favorite producers, has recently delivered a twist on his latest EP Street Knowledge. Giving other house artists a platform to share their own personal takes on a few of his own hits, the 6-track remix compilation includes 2 new looks at BIJOU’s track “Code Blue, ” with Elcamino, and 4 fresh takes on his house heater “Rockstar,” with Tony Watts). BIJOU’s staple G-House sounds are edited, transformed, and rearranged by these ambitious artists. The EP kicks off with a minimalistic, grungy version of “Code Blue” by Italian house duo Dot N Life, followed by an experimental, dream-like take on the same track by producer Sentido.

Deep house artist FETISH brings some unexpected energy and seductive groove to the first remix of “Rockstar,” truly showcasing his production prowess. Following this, electronic artist Buitano, known largely for his work on Tchami’s Confession imprint as well as Malaa’s Illegal Mixtape, comes in next with a consistent, progressive remix on the “Rockstar” track.

The final two remixes of this track are delivered by artist BADVOID, who creates a dark, distorted soundscape for the mix, and producer Pretence, who gets things shaking with inventive basslines and trap-like influences.
