YetepA truly gifted artist, Alex Fricke—better known as FREAKY—is one of the hottest rising talents in bass music today. After nearly a decade of blood, sweat, and tears, the Charlotte native has finally dropped his debut album, Duality.
A testament to his versatility, Duality features six heavy tracks as well as six melodic – a perfect balance of his two biggest strengths. As if that wasn’t enough, the LP also includes collaborations with Shaquille O’ Neal, Perry Wayne, Chassi, High Zombie, and many, many more. Suffice it to say, this is an incredibly impressive debut album.
As for the tracks themselves, headbangers are sure to enjoy heavy-hitters like “Backbreaker,” “Attention,” and “Rubberbands” while the melodic squad sings along to songs like “Wide Awake,” “Different,” and “Hide N Seek.” In other words, there is something for everyone in this 12-track masterclass.
Not only has Fricke proven his versatility through this LP, but he has also showcased the beauty in his Duality. Whatever he wants to create—something heavy, something beautiful, or something in-between—there is simply no doubt that FREAKY will do it exceptionally well.
