YetepWelcome to the Heartbreak House, where every day is Wenzday! Also known as Taylor Chung, DJ/producer Wenzday is breaking through the scene with her classically trained ear and encyclopedic knowledge of bass music.

Raised in the Bay Area, Chung spent the early days of her music career as a trained vocalist doing musical theatre. When she was 16, she began DJing and moved to LA to pursue a music career full-time. Chung honed her skills behind the decks in LA’s nightclubs, becoming a sought-after DJ and earning the title of the youngest person to DJ at the Playboy Mansion. In 2017, Chung co-founded clothing and record label 40ozCult alongside HAMi and her brother Dack Janiels. She launched her Wenzday project in 2018 after graduating from the esteemed music school, Icon Collective.
“Wenzday” is an ode to the iconic Wednesday Addams, whom Chung admires for her strong, independent thinking. Wenzday is more than a moniker—Wenzday is Chung’s persona. Her brand revolves around themes of love and heartbreak, which are reflected in her bass-oriented music productions.
In 2019, Chung made a splash in the scene with the release of her single “Heartbreak House,” a bass house track that garnered support from Billboard, Sirius XM, and more. Since then, Chung has released records on labels such as Confession, IN/ROTATION, Dim Mak, and Insomniac Records.
While she dabbles with dubstep, Chung’s releases typically fall between tech and bass house. Her latest release, “B.T.H.D (Bring The House Down),” is fueled by a high-octane bassline. Out now via Hau5trap, check it out below:
Don’t miss your chance to step into Wenzday’s Heartbreak House! She’ll be at this year’s PHXLIGHTS: Among The Stars at the Phoenix Raceway from April 7th-8th. Click here for last-minute tickets.
