YetepFrom dubstep to bass house, Space Laces can do just about it all. This point becomes even more clear as we take a look into his newly released VIP. After teasing this VIP in sets for the better part of a year, Space Laces surprised everyone by releasing his “Dominate VIP” and you’re not going to want to miss this.
Space Laces, an American DJ with a one-of-a-kind style and sound, has been frequently acclaimed by one of dubstep’s greatest producers, Excision. Working with some of the best and brightest in the bass scene, Laces has seen his songs played out by Subtronics, Kompany, Kai Wachi, and many other superstars across the globe. With over 3 million Spotify streams and 330,000 views on Youtube, there is no arguing that “Dominate” did exactly that. After two years and countless unreleased remixes, it was time that Laces revisit this masterpiece and release a VIP himself. He did not disappoint.
Continuing to show his diversity, Laces took his bass house original and added an unexpected techno twist. This is one mashup of genres that not many expected but, now that it is here, cannot get enough of. As more and more genres such as bass house, hardstyle, and drum and bass are already frequently thrown into a classic dubstep set, it appears that techno might be the next to make the jump. We look forward to seeing how Space Laces’ upcoming projects continue his trend of breaking into other genres and mashing them up with his unique sound.
