2023’s 30th Anniversary of EDC Las Vegas defined itself as an historic event. This festival saw the inception of phenomenal collaborations – one of the top contenders for set of the year being MELLODEATH (Marshmello B2B Svdden Death), unleashing a new precedent in the realms of dubstep and trap music.
In a way that can only be described as flawless, MELLODEATH combines future bass, electronic pop, and trap background of Marshmello with the deep, intense dubstep sounds of Svdden Death.
As we transition into 2024, the legacy of that groundbreaking performance at EDC 2023 continues to resonate. Marshmello and Svdden Death recently took to social media to unveil the dates for their tour, announcing upcoming performances in Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas, and at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, as part of their four-city tour in April. This tour is set to showcase the innovative blend of dubstep and trap that captivated audiences, bringing the unique energy of their performance to a wider audience.

The artistic fusion embodied by MELLODEATH is a testament to the evolving and eclectic nature of dubstep, and the insane level of talent showcased by both Marshmello and Svdden. With the ‘MELLODEATH 2024′ tour and similar ventures on the horizon, fans are bracing for a new era of musical expression, where the boundaries of genres are being pushed and redefined, heralding a darker side of trap and the sound of glass ceilings’ being broken.
