Chase & Status Make History For Drum & Bass at 2024 BRIT Awards

UK DJ duo and producers, Chase & Status (or Saul Milton and Will Kennard) are one of the biggest names in drum & bass and the two have just achieved another great milestone in their career: performing live and coming out of the 2024 BRIT Awards with Producer of the Year. Representing DnB at one of the biggest award shows in Britain is a great achievement for the two and for electronic music. For about two decades, Chase & Status have been an unstoppable force, making major contributions to dance music, and reigning at the top of the DnB scene.

Along with being awarded Producer of the Year at this year’s BRIT awards, the two performed one of their chart-topping belters, “Disconnect” with Becky Hill and sprinkles of another one of their massive tracks, “Baddadan” with Bou, Flowdan, IRAH, Trigga, and Takura. Chase & Status were accompanied on stage with award-winning singer Becky Hill, IRAH, and Takura for their performance. Becky Hill gave a powerful live performance with the duo, highlighting her soulful and energizing vocals. Chase & Status expressed great gratitude to the UK music scene, praised the growth of drum & bass, and gave appreciation to the love filled support in the DnB scene in their acceptance speech and post interviews with the duo.

The two had an insane 2023, with back to back releases of popular tracks like “Baddadan,” “Liquor & Cigarettes” with Hedex ft. ArrDee, and their mixtape album, 2 RUFF, Vol. 1. Along with huge international tours, a legendary Boiler Room set, and more, the two have been a leading force in not only DnB but for the entirety of electronic dance music.
