International Artist Series: Meet DVBBS

DVBBS (pronounced “dubs”) is a Canadian electronic duo formed in 2012, consisting of brothers Chris Chronicles (Christopher van den Hoef) and Alex Andre (Alexandre van den Hoef). They quickly gained fame in the electronic music scene with their ability to effortlessly blend house, electronic, and dubstep influences, marked by high-energy beats and catchy hooks.

DVBBS burst onto the scene with their international hit “Tsunami” in 2013, a collaboration with Borgeous that became a festival anthem and dominated charts worldwide. This track, known for its epic drop and heavy basslines, established them as a major force in the electronic dance music community. They followed up with successful tracks like “La La Land,” “Gold Skies,” and later “Not Going Home,” which have helped solidify their reputation as creators of big-room, feel-good anthems.

The duo is known for their dynamic live performances, which are a staple at major festivals around the globe including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and EDC. Their energetic sets are filled with a mix of their own hits and well-chosen remixes of popular tracks, creating a vibrant party atmosphere.

Aside from their festival anthems, DVBBS has shown versatility in their music production, exploring different sounds and collaborating with a variety of artists across different genres. This adaptability has kept them relevant in the fast-evolving music scene.

As DVBBS continues to evolve and experiment with new sounds, they keep their fans eagerly waiting for what’s next. Whether it’s a high-octane track or a chill vibe you’re after, one thing’s for sure: with DVBBS, the party never stops.
