Exploring Levity’s Sound: 5 Essential Tracks for Every Fan

Levity has cemented themselves as true players in the festival circuit. While they still have a way to go to becoming true headliners (a feat I do believe they will accomplish), they are arguably one of the hottest names on any lineup they appear on. In part due to their personalities and infectious stage presence, but mainly due to their unique sound—a hybrid of muted space bass and old school dubstep—that aligns with the bass scene’s transition into a more space bass influenced sound. While still early on in their career, I wanted to share five of my favorite Levity songs to prepare anyone who is going to see them for the first time. Pro tip: it is always worth going early to a show if it means Levity is there!

“Front to Back” by Levity

One of their most anticipated releases, this song truly defines Levity’s sound and shows why they are here to stay. One of the best memories I have is at Electric Forest, with the entire crowd jumping when this song dropped. This song tickles your brain like no other, with their flurry of muted sounds creating a truly unique symphony.

“Flip It – VIP” by Levity, Dem Jointz

“Flip It” is one of their biggest hits to date, and their VIP took it to the next level. The first drop is a fun play on the original, picking up where they left off with their muted sounds going quicker, creating a fun riff that is perfect for the dance floor. They truly turn it up in the second drop, producing old school dubstep growls that get any headbanger jumping with joy. This is a must-add to your playlist!

“Moment” by Levity

Levity shows another side of them with this song, which is perfect for daily activity. This showcases their production prowess, as they incorporate future bass elements into a groovy house bop. This song has extreme flow and is like being on a ship during the sunset as it rocks back and forth!

“Rising Tide” by Levity, Lhasa Petik

Levity has always pushed the envelope and stayed true to who they are, and this song shows their more experimental side. This future bass banger creates a wonderful world during the drop, one that has peaks and valleys, with future bass synths soaring over the rhythm to amaze the listener.

“The Deep” by Levity

One of their most experimental songs, this track is perfect for those into space bass. This song is sharp and is a combination of sounds that on the surface level don’t make sense together, but with the incredible arrangement, fit perfectly into one cohesive piece. Listen to this song with an open mind and see how Levity can take something odd and turn it into something wonderful!
