Dubstep Dive: Recent Releases & More in the Dubstep World

This last month has been an eventful one for the dubstep and bass scene, with many new tunes which fans have been waiting on finally hitting streaming services. Here are a few of my favorite releases from the past few weeks which deserve their own highlights.

First and foremost, Subtronics has returned from a break in the studio to announce a new two-part album, Fibonnaci. The first part of the album, Fibonacci Pt 1: Oblivion, contains many new IDs that fans may recognize from Cyclops Desert. From “Brass Danger” to “Brain Squeak,” this album is full of some of Subtronics’ best music, and that is saying a lot. After a spell of venturing out into a slightly different sound, Subtronics is back to his roots releasing some of the most nasty riddim and dubstep. The first part of this album is just a little sneak peek at some of the insanity that Subtronics has lined up for the full album. All eight songs are unique and high energy, just like his original works such as “Scream Saver” and “String Theory.”

Another artist who has put out an absolute banger of an EP is Eptic. Darkstar EP, which was released just this week, is a compilation of some of the heaviest dubstep to come out this year. This five-tune EP is the perfect combination of long-awaited collaborations and two new solo singles from the Masterhand member. The first single of the new EP is a highly anticipated collaboration with LYNY. A wonky tune that has been blasting speakers across the world, this song has a heavy drop that will make your head bang. In addition to the LYNY collab, Eptic has also lined up with Habstrakt for a bass house banger. There are no Eptic collaborations without mentioning another arm of Masterhand in Space Laces. “Crash Out” which was released a few weeks ago in preparation for this new EP is classic Space Laces and Eptic at their best.

The final release to round out this dive into the new exciting dubstep is from Space Mom herself. Better known as Rezz, “Contorted” is a single that fans have been waiting on for over a decade and many thought was never going to be released. A signature from her sets over the years, this 2025 mix has all of the classic Rezz sounds from old, but with a fresh mix and rendition to take things into 2025. This tune, which was originally written in 2014, has finally been released to many fans excitement.

Be sure to check out all of these new singles and come back every week for more fresh new music that is breaking the charts. You can find new artists and songs here or on Instagram at @relentlessbeatsnews
