Relentless Beats

Fox Stevenson Expands His Lyrical & Technical Capabilities with ‘Memories’

Singer, songwriter, and producer Fox Stevenson has been on a hot streak in 2025. Releasing four singles, announcing a new album, and international tour. These singles span over multiple genres, vibes and styles. Fox Stevenson is multitalented, but specializes in DnB bangers woven with pop punk/alternative rock vocals. While also diving into House and Dubstep throughout his discography. His memorable hooks and eccentric metaphors leave a lasting impact on the listener. Hyping them up for the next Fox Stevenson release. “Memories” is his fourth release of 2025 and the subject of this article.

“Memories” begins with bubbly sweep effects, a blanket of synth, and a subtle guitar riff. The drums come in at full force, blending the sounds of rock and Drum and Bass with a DnB tempo. Fox’s vocals GO OFF from the beginning. Wagging along to the bassline and guitars. Its bassline largely leans into sound and tone of rock, making this an even greater genre blend. The DnB inspired beat rapidly shifts into a rock bridge and back again. This represents Fox Stevenson’s multiple talents and influences well. Highlighting his ability to make grounded, multi-genre epics. “Memories” then builds up to the first drop. Keeping its pop punk vibe until BAM! The listener is dropped into a vivid first drop surrounded by comets and planets. The drums keep their steel vibe and DnB marching speed. Effortlessly switching back to the rock verses. The second drop occurs and is followed by a near-silent extended track section in which the elements re-introduce themselves one by one. Picking up to a DnB pace before fading out on an melodic note.

As with most of Fox’s release, the vocals and lyrics play a heavy role in the atmosphere of his songs. “Memories” is no exception to this rule. The chorus is about a man weighed down by his memories and emotions. Describing them as “Chemical signal burdens” that affect his ability to function. Effectively “killing his serotonin” in the process. He is doing his best to “unlearn” this person and “find a cure” for the painful memories associated with them. Fox Stevenson also follows an interesting lyrical pattern in the following verse:

“A disconnection from recollection. I’m vacationing from my transgressions. In this subversion of expectation. I’m stepping out and seeking redemption.”

-Fox Stevenson

“Memories” continues Fox Stevenson’s consistent pattern of bangers that excel musically, vocally, and lyrically. His multi-talented (and very involved) production style results in top-tier songs with lots of hidden elements. His release output is also very consistent compared to how much work must be involved in creating these tracks. Giving existing fans something to look forward to and new fans plenty of music to discover. Keep up with Fox Stevenson below to keep an eye on his future trajectory.
